Salt Session – Adult Room

Description

Our Adult Salt Therapy sessions are 45 minutes and begin on the hour throughout the day (See our hours and schedule).  We ask guests to arrive at least 15 minutes prior for their 1st session to check in, receive a tour of the facility, change clothes if desired, lock up their belongings and get comfortable.  After the first visit, we request guests to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the sessions so that when the session begins, lights can be dimmed and a calm, peaceful space for all guests can be ensured. Guests may feel a tickle in their throat, causing a slight cough, as well as a runny nose due to airways being opened and mucus being expelled. Depending on symptoms and severity, a cough may linger as airways expand and the body clears mucus, allergens and bacteria.

The temperature in our facility is kept cool (69-72 degrees) and humidity levels around 40% to help mimic the micro-climate of a salt cave. We provide guests with pillows and blankets for those who would like additional warmth.  Salt is circulated throughout the room and if a light is shined during the session, it appears similar to dust floating through the air.  The salt particles settle on clothing so wearing light-coloured clothing is recommended to avoid salt showing on darker clothing.

Spa music plays throughout the session at a comfortable level.  The adult salt accommodates 7 people every hour. The room is equipped with 7 zero-gravity chairs. By distributing your weight evenly, zero-gravity allows your muscles to enter a state of relaxation. Guests are encouraged to leave electronics in our secure lockers and enjoy the time being unplugged.  However, if other music is desired then bringing a device and headphones would be needed.  We also provide books/magazines for guests who wish to read during their session.
